NCsoft (036570.KS) has been named to the "2026 Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index (DJBIC)," a global environmental, social and governance (ESG) evaluation index, for the third consecutive year. The company is the only Korean game firm included in both the Asia Pacific and Korea indices.
NCsoft announced Wednesday that it has been included in the 2026 DJBIC Asia Pacific Index for three straight years. The DJBIC is an index released annually by S&P Global, comprehensively evaluating companies' economic and sustainability performance. The Asia Pacific Index includes the top 20% of the 600 largest companies by market capitalization in the Asia-Pacific region, while the DJBIC Korea Index selects the top 30% of Korea's 200 largest companies.
NCsoft is the only Korean game company included in both the Asia Pacific and Korea indices. It has been listed on the Korea Index for four consecutive years and on the Asia Pacific Index for three consecutive years. In this evaluation, NCsoft received top 10% ratings in key ESG areas including information security and personal data protection, human resources management, safety and health, and environmental management. In particular, evaluations for items such as environmental policy and management programs, transparent human resources disclosures, and corporate ethics policies improved from last year.
NCsoft has continued to deliver the highest-level performance among Korean game companies in global ESG evaluations this year. The company earned the top AAA rating in the "2026 Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG Ratings" and was selected as both an "Industry ESG Leader" and a "Regional ESG Leader" in the "Sustainalytics 2026 ESG Risk Ratings."
"Following MSCI, achieving successive results in major global ESG evaluations such as DJBIC demonstrates that the authenticity of NCsoft's ESG management is being recognized," said Koo Hyun-bum, Chief Operating Officer of NCsoft. "We will continue our efforts toward sustainable growth."
