"We plan to collaborate with Golfzon Commerce to launch irons exclusively for Korean golfers in the second half of this year."
Alex Bard, CEO of Edel Golf, made this announcement at a press conference held at Golfzon Market's Bundang Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on the 6th. "Among countries outside the United States, we consider Korea our most important market," he said.
Edel Golf is a brand founded in 1996 by David Edel, a fitting specialist and former tour player. The company initially focused on wedges and putters and now offers fitting-specialized products across four categories, including irons and utility irons. The brand gained recognition in Korea after Jeongeun Lee6 won the 2016 Evian Masters using the company's wedges. Superstar Bryson DeChambeau has also used Edel's irons and putters.
"The understanding and preference for products with high fitting potential and precise design is a distinctive characteristic of the Korean market that aligns perfectly with Edel's brand philosophy," Bard said. "The 'Ei-100' iron launching in Korea in the second half combines forged heads with copper core technology. We expect it to generate significant response as an iron that maintains control performance for advanced players while enhancing distance and forgiveness."
He added: "You can change the center of gravity and alter ball flight simply by repositioning weights and adjusting screws."
Golfzon Commerce has been distributing Edel Golf products in Korea since 2022. Edel Golf also held an inauguration ceremony for its Edel Ambassador program, comprising 19 members including professional golfers and influencers.
