Hanjin has been selected as an operator of the "2026 Online Export SME Logistics Support Program" run by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, the company said Thursday.
The program is a government initiative designed to reduce logistics cost burdens for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in e-commerce-based exports and enhance their global market competitiveness. It will run through December this year. The program's core objective is to boost local sales competitiveness by supporting logistics costs for SMEs currently exporting or preparing to export through global reverse direct purchase platforms and similar channels.
Hanjin plans to actively utilize its Incheon Airport Global Distribution Center (GDC) and European fulfillment center for the program. The Incheon Airport GDC is the largest customs clearance facility in Korea's logistics industry, providing rapid customs clearance and fulfillment services for reverse direct purchase cargo. Through the European fulfillment center, which newly opened last December, Hanjin will support domestic small and medium-sized brands in establishing themselves in the European market.
Hanjin said that participating companies using its overseas fulfillment hubs can receive 70 percent of related costs from the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, significantly reducing their fixed cost burden.
"As a member of the global e-commerce support cooperation body, we are actively supporting the overseas expansion of promising SMEs," a Hanjin official said. "By combining Hanjin's fulfillment infrastructure with our one-click global service, we will continue to provide practical support so that small business owners can secure real price competitiveness in the global market."
