LIG Defence & Aerospace (LIG D&A), formerly known as LIG Nex1, announced Wednesday that it has signed a partnership agreement with Chung-Ang University to cultivate talent for the defense industry.
Under the agreement, LIG Nex1 has designated the Department of Industrial Security at Chung-Ang University's College of Business and Economics as a contract department, establishing a practice-oriented talent development system. Students in the contract department program are guaranteed employment after graduation, provided they complete the coursework and pass a selection process.
Through the contract department arrangement, the company collaborates with the university on curriculum design and field-oriented education, enabling it to secure top talent capable of responding swiftly to the rapidly changing industrial environment. The university, in turn, can advance its industry-academia cooperation model.
"Securing outstanding talent is the foundation for building a company's future competitiveness," said Jeon In-seok, head of LIG D&A's Human Resources Division. "We hope this agreement with Chung-Ang University will serve as a springboard for future talent who will lead the defense industry."
