Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 15th that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Cheongsan-myeon Multi-purpose Community Center in the Choseong-ri area of Cheongsan-myeon.
The Cheongsan-myeon Multi-purpose Community Center will be built with a total project cost of 10.8 billion won, creating a complex facility spanning one basement level and three above-ground floors with a total floor area of 2,626 square meters. The center will separate administrative, cultural, and athletic functions by floor.
Specifically, the first floor will house the Administrative Welfare Center, resident autonomy offices, and shared kitchens along with other administrative and convenience facilities. The second floor will feature cultural program rooms and a multi-purpose auditorium, while the third floor will contain athletic program rooms and changing and shower facilities. A 43-space parking lot will also be provided for residents' convenience.
The Cheongsan-myeon Multi-purpose Community Center is a complex facility that consolidates cultural, welfare, and administrative functions in one location. It is expected to contribute to revitalizing the local community through resident autonomy activities and various cultural programs.
Yeoncheon County plans to develop the facility as a regional complex that Cheongsan-myeon residents can conveniently use, with a target completion date of December 2027.
