Guri City in Gyeonggi Province has named a newly constructed road in the Sutaek E District housing redevelopment zone "Geombae Park-ro."
The city announced on the 11th that it has officially designated and publicly notified the road name for the relevant section. The name was chosen to reflect the local characteristics of the nearby Geombae Neighborhood Park. Local place names were used to help residents easily understand and identify the location.
The road naming was undertaken to establish a systematic address information system for roads newly formed through the redevelopment project. Guri City finalized the road name after completing required procedures, including deliberation by the Address Information Committee.
The city plans to install address information facilities, including road name signs, along the section. Building number assignments and other address maintenance work will proceed sequentially.
"By assigning a systematic road name to the road created through the redevelopment project, we expect citizens will be able to find locations and utilize address information more conveniently," said Guri Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun. "We will continue to manage this to provide accurate and convenient address information going forward."
