
Lee Kwang-yeop, executive director of KMI Korea Medical Institute, has been appointed as the third president of the Korea Health Checkup Institutions Association. Lee was officially inaugurated on the 4th and will lead the association for a three-year term.
The Korea Health Checkup Institutions Association was established with the goal of preventing diseases through health checkups, promoting public health, and advancing the domestic health checkup industry. Major health checkup institutions in Korea participate as members, including GC Green Cross I-MED, IFC Korea Medical Foundation, KMI Korea Medical Institute, SCL Leaders Healthcare, SCMC Seoul Central Medical Center, Hanaro Medical Foundation, Korea Association of Health Promotion, and Hanshin Medipia. Through exchanges and cooperation among member institutions, the association promotes health checkup quality management, policy improvement, and research activities.
"Health checkups are the core of public health management for early detection and prevention of diseases," said President Lee. "I will work with the association's member institutions to enhance the expertise and trustworthiness of health checkups and contribute to improving public health."
