SK Telecom's artificial intelligence service "A." will add visualization capabilities to its "A.Note" feature starting January 9. The company is focusing on service differentiation by enabling diagram creation beyond real-time voice summarization and organization.
SKT announced on January 8 that it updated all templates in A.Note, its meeting and call transcription and summarization service, with a "visualization output generation service." An SKT official explained, "Users can automatically generate diagrams based on template content or directly select and insert desired paragraphs. The primary use case for this feature will be schedule management." For example, when coordinating schedules with another party, the system generates diagrams or tables based on information from the conversation, allowing users to see overlapping availability at a glance.
The visualization feature is also expected to be applied to the meeting minutes template, which has been popular among users. The official said, "The primary target is schedule management, but the visualization service can also be applied to organizing key content from extensive meeting minutes to aid intuitive understanding. We are currently preparing for implementation."
This marks the first introduction of visualization services in Korea's AI voice recording service market. The official noted, "While many similar services offer AI voice recording, this is a meaningful update as none have offered diagram generation until now."
The move is interpreted as SKT's differentiation strategy against competitor Naver's Clova Note, focusing on enhanced schedule management and meeting minutes functions. Launched last year, A.Note is a latecomer but emphasizes differentiation from Clova Note through real-time dictation and the ability to extract schedules and appointments mentioned during calls for calendar storage. Last month, SKT also added a "Leader Meeting Minutes" feature that records meetings centered on group leaders' remarks, following its existing meeting minutes template.
