Naver held its third "Clip Creators Day" to discuss support initiatives and service direction for short-form video creators.
The company announced on January 9 that the event took place at its Naver 1784 headquarters in Bundang, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on January 8. Naver shared plans to strengthen technical support, enabling creators to produce content more conveniently and develop strategies based on performance analytics.
The company plans to launch an "AI Editor" within this year to streamline content production. The tool will automatically categorize videos and images shot at the same location and analyze media information to generate tags.
Naver will also enhance the "Clip Creator App," which allows creators to monitor content metrics and manage revenue settlements.
The company is expanding monetization eligibility and supporting creators in building fan communities. Following last year's restructuring of the reward system to include consumption on "feed surfaces" such as home feeds, Naver will extend monetization this year beyond short-form videos to "post-format" content combining text and images. The company also plans to overhaul the "Clip Tab" within the Naver app to help creators build dedicated followings.
"In the AI era, creators who produce content matter more than the content itself," said Kim Kwang-hyun, Naver's Chief Data and Content Officer. "Naver will spare no effort in support and investment to ensure that quality content produced by creators connects with our services and technology to reach more users."
