Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 13th that it will upload the results of its "Continuous Cadastral Map Maintenance Project" to the Integrated Real Estate Information System. The county was selected as a pilot site by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2024 and has pursued the project over two years to provide residents with accurate and reliable land information.
According to the county, a continuous cadastral map is an electronic document that digitizes cadastral and forest land maps and connects them nationwide. The maps serve as foundational data for modern land administration, including land use regulation guidance, urban planning, and public land management.
The upload covers approximately 320,000 parcels across all 17 towns and townships in Hapcheon County. To enhance administrative collaboration, the county plans to simultaneously upload continuous thematic maps from the Urban Development Permit Division, significantly improving spatial information accuracy.
Through this maintenance project, Hapcheon County expects to resolve accumulated unrecorded land changes and boundary errors, improving the reliability and accuracy of land administration while providing high-quality spatial information-based services.
A county official said, "Accurate continuous cadastral maps are the foundation of smart administration. Through successful system integration, we will provide residents with trusted cadastral services and take the lead in protecting property rights."
