Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 8th that it plans to expand renewable energy supply and implement energy welfare programs for vulnerable groups this year.
Last year, the county installed solar power generation facilities at 126 locations and solar thermal facilities at three locations through a nationally funded renewable energy convergence project.
Through the renewable energy housing support program, the county provided solar and solar thermal facilities to 31 single-family homes, strengthening the foundation for energy self-sufficiency in the residential sector.
This year, the county plans to supply solar, solar thermal, and geothermal facilities to 202 locations and provide solar facilities to 50 households through the housing support program.
For energy welfare, the county installed small LPG storage tanks and supply pipes for 35 households in Pyeongchon Village, Myosan-myeon, reducing daily inconveniences in areas without city gas service.
