Iran Red Crescent: At Least 555 Dead in U.S. Airstrikes

At least 555 people have been killed in Iran from airstrikes by the United States and Israel, according to tallies released by Iranian authorities.

Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency reported that the Iranian Red Crescent Society stated on the 2nd (local time), "Attacks by enemies across various regions of Iran have affected 131 cities, and regrettably, 555 of our citizens have lost their lives."

Among those killed so far is Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Civilian casualties continue to mount, with at least 165 dead at a girls' elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan Province, in southern Iran.
