Daewon, a general construction company, announced on the 15th that it has introduced a high-performance composite floor noise reduction system at "Gimpo Cantabile Edition," currently being offered in the Bukbyeon 2 District of Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.
As consumer sensitivity to floor noise has increased recently and management standards have become stricter, securing actual sound insulation performance has emerged as a key issue in the industry. Daewon plans to ensure residential quality that residents can actually feel by proactively adopting SY Steeltech's "U-System," which has proven on-site performance.
SY Steeltech's U30 System is a composite floor sound insulation system that combines sound insulation, sound absorption, and vibration damping materials, achieving Grade 1 for lightweight impact sound and Grade 2 for heavyweight impact sound. The system incorporates 41 vibration-damping rubber mounts per unit area and is designed to handle compression loads exceeding 400 kg/㎡. It has been applied to projects including the Pyeongtaek Godeok 2nd Phase public housing development.
"Reducing floor noise goes beyond simple convenience improvements—it is a fundamental task to enhance residents' quality of life," a sales representative from Daewon said. "A verified high-quality soundproofing system will greatly contribute to residents' peaceful daily lives."
Gimpo Cantabile Edition is a complex being developed through the Gimpo Bukbyeon 2 District urban development project, comprising a total of 612 units ranging from 66 to 127 square meters in exclusive area. The sale price is set in the 600 million won range for the 84㎡ standard unit. Residents can walk to Geolpo Bukbyeon Station on the Gimpo Gold Line, and Gamjeong Station on the Seoul Subway Line 5 Gimpo-Geomdan extension (currently being promoted) is nearby. The 66㎡ units feature alpha rooms and storage-specialized designs, while the 84㎡ units offer options including kitchen expansion, storage specialization, and pet care specialization. The 104㎡ and 127㎡ units feature duplex penthouses and terrace structures.
