Taelim Packaging (011280.KS), a corrugated box manufacturer under Global Sae-A Group, has recently showcased an ESG initiative at the supply chain level in partnership with a major domestic retailer.
Taelim Packaging announced on the 8th that it has joined hands with E-Land Retail to introduce an eco-friendly packaging system for retail distribution.
The packaging boxes produced under this initiative use more than 20% solar renewable energy in the manufacturing process and will be supplied at a scale of approximately 1.3 million units per year. This reduces indirect carbon emissions generated during distribution and strengthens the eco-friendly supply chain framework.
The packaging materials are manufactured based on a resource-circular production system, minimizing environmental impact from the raw material stage through production and distribution.
The initiative is regarded as an ESG execution model that connects Taelim Packaging's eco-friendly production capabilities with E-Land Retail's retail operations. Taelim Packaging has been an industry leader in expanding renewable energy use, including the adoption of solar power generation facilities, and in broadening its range of certified recycled-resource products to reduce the environmental burden at the packaging production stage.
Global companies have recently been strengthening ESG management across their entire supply chains, encompassing not only product manufacturing but also raw materials and logistics. Packaging materials are essential components in the distribution process, and the adoption of eco-friendly packaging is increasingly tied to a company's sustainability performance.
Global Sae-A Group's Taelim Packaging plans to expand its role as an eco-friendly packaging partner that supports clients' ESG compliance. Starting with the application of printed messages on packaging materials, the company will progressively roll out product samples for sales proposals and ESG-focused client proposals, developing eco-friendly packaging solutions into a supply chain competitive advantage.
