Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) is strengthening its "One Team" partnership with suppliers to bolster competitiveness in the artificial intelligence (AI) era. The company plans to lead the AI transformation of suppliers' manufacturing and quality processes through comprehensive support, firmly establishing a co-growth ecosystem.
On Tuesday, Samsung Electronics held its 2026 Win-Win Cooperation Day with approximately 90 Device Experience (DX) division supplier firms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Launched in 2012, the annual event serves as a forum for solidarity between Samsung Electronics and its suppliers. Around 120 attendees included Roh Tae-moon, president and head of Samsung's DX division, Kim Young-jae, chairman of the supplier council Hyupsung-hoe and CEO of Daeduck Electronics, along with other senior executives and supplier representatives.
"We will innovate together with our supplier firms to deliver the best AI experiences through the finest products," Roh said. "As strategic partners jointly designing a blueprint for future industries, let us achieve innovation without limits." He also pledged full support for suppliers' smart factory transitions. Kim responded, "In the era of the AI revolution, change is the only path to survival. Let us work together so that the fruits of win-win management extend to second- and third-tier suppliers."
An awards ceremony was also held at the event, honoring 20 suppliers for outstanding achievements in technology, quality innovation, and ESG. SJI took the top prize for commercializing an "AI boil detection sensor" that analyzes cooking conditions to prevent boil-overs, contributing to the mass production of the Infinite AI Induction cooktop.
Samsung Electronics continues to provide tailored support to strengthen supplier competitiveness. Key programs include interest-free loans through a 1 trillion won ($730 million) ESG fund, royalty-free access to more than 2,500 patents, and free AI and automation consulting and training through its Win-Win Cooperation Academy.
Separately, the Device Solutions (DS) division, which oversees the semiconductor business, will hold its own Win-Win Cooperation Day on July 3 in Yongin.
