Hansol PaperTech, a corrugated base paper manufacturer under the Hansol Group, announced Sunday that it carried out spring community service activities targeting areas near its operations.
Hansol PaperTech joined residents of Nambu Village in Damyang-gun to conduct a joint spring cleanup at a nearby traditional market and along a riverside area.
Through the cleanup, the participants collected various types of waste and pollutants around the river that had been left unattended for an extended period. After the cleanup, the company shared snacks it had prepared and spent time mingling with residents.
Hansol PaperTech also supported first graders at Hanjae Elementary School in Damyang-gun with enrollment scholarships and school supplies, cheering on the students' fresh start.
"Hansol PaperTech's consistent support has been a great help to our village," said Lee Jae-cheon, head of Nambu Village. "We hope the exchanges and cooperation will continue going forward."
A Hansol PaperTech official said, "We hope this cleanup activity helps improve the living environment for village residents," adding, "We will continue carrying out community service activities that allow the company and the local community to thrive together."
