LG Electronics (066570) CEO Ryu Jae-cheol emphasized the company's global partnerships in its robotics business on January 16 via social media, stating, "We train and test robots in digital twin environments through Google's Gemini and Nvidia's Isaac platform."
Ryu also highlighted collaborations with startups. "LG CLOi didn't appear overnight," he said. "We built expertise in real service environments through Bear Robotics and advanced industrial robots for smart factories with Robostar." Investments in Agibot and Figure AI also represent LG Electronics' expansion of its robotics ecosystem.
"LG Electronics has accumulated deep lifestyle data from nearly 70 years in the home appliance and customer service business," Ryu said. "We are experts in home services."
He added, "Our roadmap is clear. Ultimately, we will introduce robots that serve as 'conductors of space' to orchestrate the entire home."
Ryu recently visited Agibot and other companies in China to discuss cooperation in humanoid robots and artificial intelligence.
