Hyundai Motor has opened an electric vehicle fast-charging station at Germany's Nürburgring circuit.
Hyundai Motor (005380) announced on the 16th that its high-performance brand "Hyundai N" opened the "Nürburgring N Fast-Charging Station" at the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany on the 14th (local time). The station will operate for 10 years from this year through 2035.
Known as "The Green Hell," the Nürburgring is beloved by automotive enthusiasts as a sacred destination and is regarded as one of the world's most demanding racing tracks.
The Nürburgring N Fast-Charging Station consists of two DC fast chargers, with each charger capable of simultaneously charging up to two vehicles, allowing a total of four EVs to charge at once.
The station supports fast charging up to 400kW. The E-GMP-based high-performance EVs Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes using their 800V ultra-fast charging systems.

Hyundai Motor built the N Fast-Charging Station in the parking lot located at the "Tourist Drive" entrance, where general customers enter for track driving at the Nürburgring circuit.
Stable and reliable high-speed charging infrastructure is essential for fully enjoying the performance of high-performance EVs on the track.
With the opening of the N Fast-Charging Station, EV drivers at the Nürburgring can now charge at the circuit entrance and immediately head onto the track.
Hyundai Motor plans to begin trial operation of the N Fast-Charging Station for visitors starting this month, coinciding with the opening of this year's Nürburgring circuit track season. EVs of all brands can be charged at the station. Starting in April, European Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N customers using the "Charge myHyundai" app will receive complimentary charging benefits exclusive to this station.
Hyundai Motor has been actively expanding its high-performance EV infrastructure. In Korea, the company opened its first N Fast-Charging Station at Inje Speedium alongside the launch of the Ioniq 5 N in 2023. Hyundai Motor has provided free charging services to Ioniq 5 N customers there, and plans to extend complimentary charging benefits to Ioniq 6 N customers by the first half of 2026. The Nürburgring circuit marks the second N Fast-Charging Station.
Park Jun-woo, Vice President and Head of N Management Division at Hyundai Motor, stated, "We established the N Fast-Charging Station to create an ecosystem where customers can fully enjoy the high-performance experience on the track." He added, "We will continue to actively expand the high-performance EV ecosystem so that more customers can experience the joy of driving even in the electrification era."
