UVify, a Korean startup developing drones and autonomous flight platforms, has simultaneously claimed four Guinness World Records by successfully flying a swarm of 10,000 drones.
UVify announced Thursday that it successfully completed a 10,000-drone swarm flight event on March 31 (local time) in Manvel, Texas, United States. The swarm flight earned UVify four Guinness World Records — all firsts and the largest in scale for a single flight. The company launched 10,000 drones into the night sky to create △an ultra-large LED screen △a QR code △text △a logo, setting new Guinness records in each category.
The drone show, held to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence and Easter, runs from March 27 to April 4 at Masters Road Church in Manvel, Texas. The event features live performances with new content unveiled at 9 p.m. each evening over nine days. UVify's "IFO drones" transformed the night sky into a massive display. The company drew Vincent van Gogh's iconic masterpiece "The Starry Night" and an intricately patterned QR code in vivid detail, drawing cheers from spectators on site.
"Achieving four Guinness World Records is a meaningful moment that firmly demonstrates UVify's unrivaled control technology and system stability on the global stage," UVify CEO Im Hyun said. "We will continue to present innovative flight technology and set new standards for drone entertainment."
