KB Kookmin Card is stepping up efforts to ease customers' burden from rising fuel prices by offering fuel cost reductions and transportation subsidies.
KB Kookmin Card announced on the 2nd that customers using its fuel-specialized cards will receive discounts of up to 150 won per liter. New and dormant customers who sign up for any of four fuel-specialized cards will receive a 100% cashback on annual fees.
To encourage public transportation use, the company will also provide 50,000 customers of its "KB Kookmin K-Pass Card" with an additional benefit equivalent to 30% of their K-Pass refund amount. The benefit will be offered to 50,000 customers selected through a lottery by May.
KB Kookmin Card will also provide additional cashback through a lottery for customers who spend 10,000 won or more at Onnuri gift certificate merchants using a K-Pass card. The company explained the initiative is aimed at easing the burden on customers struggling with rising prices while also supporting small business owners.
Among customers who spend 100,000 won or more in the fueling and public transportation categories, 2,111 will be selected through a lottery to receive fueling subsidies worth up to 1 million won. The prizes break down as follows: △1 million won (1 winner) △500,000 won (10 winners) △50,000 won (100 winners) △5,000 won (2,000 winners).
KB Kookmin Card is also providing customer guidance in line with the government's transportation and energy policy direction. Through the main screen of "KB Pay," the company is sharing government policy information and proactively displaying vehicle license plate numbers eligible for daily operation under the odd-even license plate traffic restriction system. "Considering that customers' burden from fuel and transportation costs has been growing due to recent changes in the external environment, we have designed a support package focused on benefits customers can tangibly feel," a KB Kookmin Card official said. "We hope this support, carried out as part of inclusive finance, will help ease the fuel and transportation cost burden for as many customers as possible."
