Reco, operator of commercial waste collection service "Upbox," announced Wednesday it has been named to the Financial Times and Statista's "High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific" ranking for the second consecutive year.
The company ranked 53rd among 500 Asia-Pacific companies and 22nd among South Korean firms. Reco placed first in the waste management and recycling category across the Asia-Pacific region. The company recorded an absolute growth rate of 747.13% and a compound annual growth rate of 103.85%.
The High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific ranking evaluates companies across 13 Asia-Pacific countries based on revenue growth over a set period, selecting the top 500 firms. Reco successfully made the list this year following its inclusion last year.
"Ranking first in waste management and recycling across Asia-Pacific demonstrates the growth potential of the resource circulation industry and the competitiveness of South Korean climate tech companies," said Reco CEO Kim Keun-ho. "We will grow into South Korea's leading climate tech unicorn, spearheading the global resource circulation market."
