Pearl Abyss (263750) globally launched its new title 'Crimson Desert' on May 20 (Korea time).
The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, Epic Games Store, and ROG Xbox Ally (Ally | Ally X).
Crimson Desert supports Korean, English, and Chinese voiceovers along with 14 languages in total.
Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game following protagonist 'Kliff' and his Grey Mane companions on their journey. Players adventure across the seamless open-world continent of 'Pywel' alongside Kliff to reclaim his lost homeland and reunite scattered allies. Along the way, they must restore the broken balance of the Abyss against threats approaching the Pywel continent.
The game has received praise for its realistic high-quality graphics powered by the proprietary 'BlackSpace Engine,' dynamic action and combat, and high degree of interactive freedom.
As of May 19, Crimson Desert ranked first in PlayStation Store pre-orders across major markets including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Japan. It also topped Steam's global Top Sellers list. The title further proved its global appeal by claiming the top spot on Epic Games Store's bestseller rankings.
The game completed stability testing on PC and PlayStation 5 Pro through in-depth analysis by Digital Foundry, a global IT YouTube channel, which called it "a remarkable technical achievement."
Upon launch, Crimson Desert immediately rose to the top of YouTube's real-time popular games ranking, with 500,000 viewers watching gameplay on Twitch.
