A man suspected of illegal filming was apprehended at a women's restroom on Korea University's Anam campus.
The Seoul Seongbuk Police Station announced on the 17th that it had arrested a man in his 20s, identified only as "A," on charges of violating the Sexual Violence Punishment Act for entering a public facility for sexual purposes.
A campus security guard spotted the man exiting the women's restroom and, suspecting illegal filming, turned him over to police.
Police said they plan to investigate whether the suspect is a Korea University student and whether he actually engaged in illegal filming. Digital forensic analysis will be conducted on electronic devices in his possession.
