A court has issued an arrest warrant for a man in his 50s who was apprehended by police for allegedly attempting to lure and kidnap a minor by offering to pay for a taxi.
According to legal sources on the 13th, the Seoul Southern District Court issued an arrest warrant for the man, identified only as A, who was arrested on charges of attempted kidnapping of a minor. The court determined there were concerns about flight risk and evidence tampering.
A is accused of attempting to kidnap a minor who was waiting for a bus at a bus stop in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on the 12th while intoxicated.
A reportedly approached the minor saying he would "pay for a taxi." Upon receiving the report, Yangcheon Police Station arrested A as a flagrant offender.
