Kiwoom Securities (039490) announced on the 12th that it will host "2026 Kiwoom Run," a barrier-free short-distance marathon where people with and without disabilities run together, at Yeouido Park in Seoul on April 18.
Kiwoom Run is an event marking Disability Day (April 20) that brings together diverse participants regardless of disability status. The event was designed to reflect the spirit of "barrier-free," which aims to eliminate physical and institutional barriers that cause inconvenience to people with disabilities.
Registration opens on the 12th of this month on a first-come, first-served basis through the official website. The event will accommodate 5,000 participants, approximately 2.5 times the 2,025 runners from last year. The entry fee is 30,000 won, with individual participation fees donated in full to charity.
The running courses cover 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers. Runners will start from Yeouido Park and follow routes through Hangang Park and the Seogang Bridge area. Finishers will receive commemorative medals.
Forty visually impaired runners from VMK, a running crew for the visually impaired, will participate alongside guide runners. Real-time text interpretation and sign language interpretation will be provided during stage operations.
