Gyeongsangnam-do Province is launching the "Smart Production Innovation Support Project for Small and Medium Shipbuilders" to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized shipbuilding companies in the region. The initiative will provide smart production technologies and training programs, including process automation, connectivity, and intelligent systems.
Through data connectivity technology support between shipyards and partner companies, the province will establish a smart collaboration system. This will enable shipyards and external partners to share design information, production status, and quality data in real time.
For processes with high labor dependency, digital transformation technologies will be introduced, including smart automated equipment and systems. The initiative will integrate Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and digital twin technology to enable real-time 3D process monitoring. Intelligent systems using artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics will also be implemented to optimize production workflows.
