
Eleven South Korean nationals and one foreign spouse residing in Saudi Arabia arrived in Tokyo on the 11th aboard a Japanese charter flight.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that "11 Korean nationals and one foreign spouse boarded a Japanese charter flight that departed from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the previous afternoon (local time)" and that "they arrived in Tokyo, Japan, at approximately 1:38 p.m."
The ministry explained that "this cooperation was carried out under close communication between the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and diplomatic missions of both countries, in accordance with the 'Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation for the Protection of Nationals in Third Countries' between the two nations."
