Xenon announced on the 11th that it has built a generative artificial intelligence (AI) conversational interface for Seoul's 3D spatial information platform "S-Map."
S-Map is a map website that provides 3D spatial information covering all of Seoul. Xenon served as the lead research and development organization for the conversational interface development project, with spatial information specialist Gaia3D participating as a joint R&D organization.
Through this project, the S-Map website's user experience (UX) has been improved to allow users to input natural language commands and easily find needed information, similar to using generative AI. When users input commands via voice or text, the AI automatically performs functions including map navigation, address searches, and control of building and lifestyle information windows. A chatbot-style Q&A user guide is also provided to help first-time S-Map users adapt easily.
Xenon designed the interface to enable S-Map's complex information inquiry functions through natural language commands. Representative examples include urban time-series comparisons through split-screen displays, urban environment analysis simulations, and real estate transaction price inquiries. Xenon achieved 100% on all evaluation indicators in user assessments and official certification tests for this conversational interface project.
Xenon CEO Ko Seok-tae said, "This Seoul S-Map project demonstrates that generative AI has entered a stage where it can control public systems," adding, "We will focus on advancing our technology to lead AI transformation in public and industrial settings."
