
Korean furniture companies are ramping up marketing efforts targeting the spring season, when demand for moving, new home purchases, and wedding preparations peaks.
The industry appears to be pursuing spring wedding and moving demand through new product launches and large-scale discount promotions.
Shinsegae Casa's Casamia announced on March 10 that it has launched two new sofas to meet customer demand: the trendy fabric modular sofa "Monaco" and the premium leather recliner sofa "Siena."
The Monaco fabric modular sofa inherits the design sensibility of Casamia's bestseller "Campo" while incorporating soft curved silhouettes reflecting recent interior design trends.
While Campo features straight-line designs, Monaco creates a more comfortable and sophisticated living room atmosphere with its flowing lines. The leather recliner sofa "Siena" reduces the heavy impression typical of recliners while enhancing both design and functionality. It features an open-base structure and floating design with 18-centimeter legs, making living spaces appear lighter and more spacious. The slimmer seat cushion structure reduces bulk compared to conventional recliners.
Large-scale promotional events are also rolling out in succession.
Shinsegae Casa is running a "Wedding Festa" through April 14, featuring Casamia and premium sleep brand Materasso products for wedding and moving customers. Offers include up to 20% off the Materasso motion bed "Le Move" and vegan foam mattress "Oasis Sedona" sets, plus benefits on bestselling furniture including the "Campo" sofa and "Bruno" bedroom series.
"With spring being the peak season for wedding and moving demand, we've strengthened our sofa lineup as the centerpiece of living room spaces," a Shinsegae Casa official said. "Beyond these new products, we will continue introducing premium-designed, high-quality products for various spaces to offer choices that suit diverse lifestyles."

Hyundai Livart is running its large-scale discount event "Rhythm Festa" through April 22.
Rhythm Festa, short for "Livart Abundant Benefits Festa," is a major discount event held twice annually. The promotion offers up to 60% off major furniture and interior products, with limited-time specials on popular sofas, beds, and dining tables, plus up to 10% package benefits.
"Targeting spring moving and wedding season demand, we've prepared promotions on approximately 2,000 products ranging from home and office furniture to our interior remodeling brand Jipterior packages," a Hyundai Livart official said.
Hanssem is holding "Ssem Festa," its largest shopping festival of the first half, through March 30. Ssem Festa is Hanssem's flagship promotion covering all categories from furniture to interior goods and household items, held twice yearly.
This spring edition was designed to provide substantial benefits to customers during the peak season for moving, new home purchases, and wedding preparations. The event offers discounts of up to 85% on approximately 1,500 products. New features include "Monday Double Deals" offering maximum discounts on a first-come, first-served basis every Monday, and "1+1 Deals" providing greater benefits when purchasing two major items simultaneously.
