Korean quantum startup SDT has become the first company from the country to join Nvidia's quantum-GPU integration ecosystem NVQLink, according to industry sources.
On January 9, sources confirmed that Nvidia added SDT's logo to its NVQLink Ecosystem list on its English website on January 6. In Asia, Japan's QuEL had previously joined the ecosystem, and Taiwan's Wistron was also newly added.
"Nvidia notified us in advance about joining NVQLink," SDT said. "This means we are now participating in the global quantum computing infrastructure ecosystem as a quantum system builder responsible for everything from quantum processor system integration to data center supply."
Nvidia unveiled NVQLink in October last year. NVQLink is an open system architecture that enables hybrid quantum computing by connecting GPU computing and quantum processing units (QPUs) with low latency and high throughput. Nvidia says the system enables real-time control including quantum error correction (QEC), QPU calibration, and logic orchestration.
The NVQLink ecosystem currently includes major quantum hardware and control companies such as IonQ, Rigetti Computing, PASQAL, Quantinuum, QuEra, QBlox, and Keysight, as well as leading national quantum research institutions. With SDT's inclusion in the official ecosystem list, industry observers note that the Korean company has now publicly become part of the global hybrid quantum infrastructure ecosystem.
Founded in 2017, SDT specializes in quantum technology components and materials. The company develops and manufactures cryogenic equipment and control instruments required for quantum computers, and has built its own quantum hardware and operational stack, supplying modular quantum computers to enterprises and public institutions. In February this year, SDT opened a commercial quantum-AI data center in Korea and is pursuing an initial public offering after raising 30 billion won from Praxis Capital Partners and NH Investment & Securities.
SDT's inclusion in NVQLink is interpreted as recognition of its capabilities as a hardware-based components and materials company essential for quantum technology commercialization on the global stage. For quantum computers to expand from the laboratory stage to industrial infrastructure, full-cycle hardware capabilities are essential—encompassing not only QPUs but also cooling, control, system integration, and data center supply.
Meanwhile, SDT CEO Yoon Ji-won is scheduled to attend Nvidia GTC 2026, to be held in San Jose, United States, from January 16 to 19.
