U.S. President Donald Trump leveled harsh criticism at Iran, calling it "the loser of the Middle East" and warning of potential additional military strikes.
Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social on the 7th (local time), claiming that "Iran has apologized to its Middle East neighbors, surrendered, and promised not to attack anymore." He added, "This promise was only possible because of the relentless attacks by the United States and Israel."
Trump strongly condemned Iran, stating, "This is the first time in thousands of years of history that Iran has been defeated by its neighboring Middle East countries." He declared, "Iran is no longer 'the Bully of the Middle East' but 'THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST.'"
The president also signaled the possibility of additional retaliatory strikes. "Iran will remain in that state for decades until it surrenders or, more likely, completely collapses," Trump said. "Today, Iran will suffer a very powerful blow."
Trump further warned, "Because of Iran's wrongful behavior, complete destruction and certain death are being seriously considered for areas and people that have not been targeted until now," suggesting military action could escalate further.
