
South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 7th that it is arranging a charter flight in coordination with the United Arab Emirates government. The Etihad Airways aircraft, with 290 seats, is scheduled to depart at noon local time on the 8th.
The ministry said the South Korean Embassy in the UAE is conducting a demand survey among Korean nationals. Priority will be given to patients with serious illnesses, people with severe disabilities, pregnant women, elderly individuals, and infants, including their required companions.
Passengers will be required to pay standard airfare after the flight.
The ministry added that it will continue efforts to ensure the safe return of Korean nationals from the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries.
