Doosan Enerbility (034020) is rapidly expanding its North American market share, riding the surge in power demand from artificial intelligence data centers.
The company announced on the 6th that it has signed a supply contract with a major US tech company for seven 380MW-class gas turbines. This represents the largest single contract volume in the company's history. Doosan Enerbility plans to deliver the gas turbines and generators sequentially at a rate of one unit per month starting May 2029. The units will be deployed at data centers being constructed by the client.

Including this contract, Doosan Enerbility has secured supply agreements for a total of 12 gas turbines in the United States, considered the birthplace of gas turbine technology. The company signed its first US gas turbine supply contract for two units with a major US tech company in October last year, followed by an additional order for three units from the same client in December.
Doosan Enerbility attributed its expanding US orders to proven performance, fast delivery times, and service support from its local US subsidiary. Since successfully localizing large gas turbine technology in 2019, the company has completed 17,000 hours of operational verification, establishing technological reliability. Currently, only five companies worldwide possess large gas turbine technology: Doosan Enerbility, GE Vernova (US), Siemens (Germany), Mitsubishi Power (Japan), and Ansaldo Energia (Italy).
Doosan Enerbility has secured orders for 23 gas turbines to date, solidifying its market position. Building on its North American export track record, the company plans to continue pursuing orders from existing clients as well as markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The company previously announced in its mid-to-long-term roadmap targets of 45 cumulative units by 2030 and 105 units by 2038.
Last year, Doosan Enerbility achieved orders worth 14.728 trillion won through successive supply contracts for nuclear power plants and gas turbines. This represents a more than twofold increase from the previous year's 7.1314 trillion won, marking an all-time high. The results were driven by the Czech nuclear power plant project concluded last year, along with gas turbine orders for North American data centers and offshore wind farm engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project wins.
"With this contract, we will supply a total of 12 gas turbines to the United States, solidifying our position as a global player," said Son Seung-woo, Head of Power Service BG at Doosan Enerbility. "Doosan will continue to provide competitive gas turbines and actively respond to growing demand both domestically and internationally."
