Naver announced on the 6th that it has published the "2025 Naver Security White Paper," summarizing major security-related activities over the past year.
This year's white paper highlights emerging security issues driven by advances in AI technology and details Naver's key security measures in response. The report covers various initiatives aimed at providing safer services, including strengthening security review processes across service design, development, and operations; enhancing abuse and phishing detection models; and conducting security training and campaigns for employees and partner companies.
According to the white paper, these efforts have led to a 77.2% decrease in valid bug bounty reports over the past five years, indicating improved service stability and security.
Additionally, Naver has established a new "Global Privacy Monthly Trends" category in its Privacy Center to help startups expanding overseas operate safely and in compliance with local regulations. Starting in March, the company will provide monthly updates on major global privacy issues and regulatory developments. Naver has also developed detailed "Global Privacy Policy Guidelines" to assist overseas-expanding startups in drafting their privacy policies.
