Current and former chief technology officers from major Korean conglomerates will deliver lectures to science and engineering students.
The Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) announced on the 5th that it will hold the "2026 CTO University Lecture Series" featuring members of its CTO Club.
The lecture series aims to share knowledge and technology development experience with students through CTO Club members affiliated with KOITA.
The CTO Club was established in 1996 for policy consultation, corporate cooperation, and advanced technology information sharing. It currently has 95 CTOs from major companies as members. The club has been offering university lectures as a form of talent donation since 2010.
The lecture series beginning on the 5th will feature Hong Sung-joo, President of Korea Semiconductor Academy (former head of SK Hynix Future Technology Research Institute); Lee Hak-sung, Advisor at LG Energy Solution (former President of LS Electric); Hwang Yoon-il, Advisor at CJ CheilJedang (former CTO of CJ CheilJedang); and Gil Young-jun, CEO of SE Partners (former CTO of Samsung Electronics).
They will deliver lectures at the University of Seoul, Chung-Ang University, Hongik University, and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST).
