Lotte Engineering & Construction executives participated in hands-on safety training, including CPR and emergency response procedures, as part of the company's efforts to strengthen safety awareness. The company is accelerating disaster prevention measures under the slogan "No work without safety."
Lotte E&C announced on the 27th that 38 executives, including CEO Oh Il-geun, participated in training at "Safety On," a safety experience center located within the Lotte Human Resource Development Center in Osan, Gyeonggi Province. The 1,160-square-meter facility allows participants to experience 18 types of workplace accidents that can occur at construction sites, including crane and ladder overturns and falls. The center also features health experience facilities for fire extinguisher use, emergency treatment, and musculoskeletal disease prevention.
CEO Oh and other executives participated in programs covering CPR, safety belt and fall protection, and electric shock simulations using VR devices.
Lotte E&C headquarters and field employees will also receive safety and health training at Safety On from this month through June, covering the latest trends in construction industry safety and health, as well as theoretical and practical application cases.
Meanwhile, CEO Oh recently conducted safety and health leadership training for approximately 100 site managers nationwide. Earlier this year, he personally visited the Lotte Castle Signature construction site in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and the Yeongdong-daero Underground Complex Development Section 4 in Gangnam-gu to conduct safety inspections.
"All employees at headquarters and in the field should thoroughly internalize safety management standards and principles with the mindset of protecting their own family's safety," CEO Oh said.
