Hyundai Motor Group has swept 'Best Car' titles at major US media award ceremonies.
Hyundai Motor Group announced Wednesday that a total of 17 models—eight from Hyundai Motor (005380.KS), five from Kia, and four from Genesis—were selected as best models in their respective segments at Car and Driver's 2026 Editors' Choice Awards. In particular, Hyundai's large sport utility vehicle (SUV) Palisade was named 'Best Model for Seven Consecutive Years' in recognition of its attractive interior and exterior design and various convenience features. The Palisade also won 'Best Large Utility' at the 2026 Drivers' Choice Awards from MotorWeek, America's longest-running television automotive program, achieving a double crown. The Kia K4 was selected in the 'Best Family Car' category. The Palisade received excellent reviews for its next-generation hybrid system with improved performance and fuel efficiency, while the K4 was recognized for its comfortable interior space and smooth driving performance.
At the 2026 Best Car Awards from Cars.com, a US automotive evaluation website, the Hyundai Santa Fe and Santa Fe Hybrid were selected as 'Best Family Car,' and the Kia EV9 was named 'Best Electric Vehicle.' The Santa Fe received positive reviews for its three-row seating configuration with excellent space utilization and comfortable driving performance, while the EV9 was praised for its generous single-charge driving range and fast charging performance.
