DL E&C Wins 600 Billion Won Contract to Build e-Pyeonhansesang Brand Town in Seoul

DL E&C announced Wednesday that it has secured construction rights for a Moa Town project in the Junghwa-dong 329-38 area of Seoul.
The project involves building a large-scale residential complex comprising 19 buildings with up to 35 floors above ground and three basement levels, totaling 1,760 units in the Junghwa-dong 329-38 area of Jungnang-gu, Seoul. The total project cost is approximately 600 billion won ($440 million).
DL E&C will handle the integrated construction of three zones (Zone 2-1, Zone 2-2, and Zone 2-3) within the Junghwa 2 District project, which had previously been pursued separately under the row housing redevelopment scheme.
DL E&C pushed for integrated development in this project. The company first obtained approval as the contractor through general meetings of each zone's construction companies, then officially secured integrated development construction rights after passing the Seoul Metropolitan Government's 17th Small-Scale Housing Improvement Integrated Deliberation Committee in November.
The breakdown by zone is as follows: Zone 2-1 with 6 buildings and 559 units, Zone 2-2 with 6 buildings and 557 units, and Zone 2-3 with 7 buildings and 644 units. All zones will be positioned to offer views of Jungnangcheon Stream to enhance resident satisfaction.
The project site is located in the station area of Junghwa Station on Subway Line 7, with convenient transportation access through various networks including Jungnang Station, Sangbong Station, and the Dongbu Arterial Road. The area also features abundant living infrastructure including Jungnangcheon Stream and the Taereung Market specialty street, and the integrated redevelopment is expected to further improve the residential environment and infrastructure of the area.
"It is highly meaningful that we secured the integrated construction rights by earning the trust of union members based on the competitiveness of the e-Pyeonhansesang brand," a DL E&C official said. "We will successfully create a large-scale landmark in central Seoul and establish Junghwa-dong as the representative residential area of Jungnang-gu."
