Environmental platform 'minus' surpasses 80 locations and 2.3 million subscribers

It was announced on the 4th that 80 local governments have introduced the environmental platform “Minus” operated by the environmental resources AI data company “Tongda.” The cumulative number of subscribers also surpassed 2.3 million.
By subtracting the same, he explained that more than 30% of the country's 226 local governments have completed the digital transformation (DX) of environmental waste and resource management and are actively cooperating in resource recycling.
Subtraction provides users with an easy and convenient waste disposal function. It is a data-based environmental platform that provides digital transformation services for waste management to local governments. As the need for environmental data collection and analysis services expanded, the number of local government agreements was increased, starting with Uijeongbu City, Seongnam City, Yongin City, and Seoul City. Since its launch in 2019, it has continued to grow steeply by around 40% each year. Minus is currently the largest environmental platform in Korea with 80 local governments and 2.3 million subscribers.
Subtraction helps establish efficient data-based environmental policies by collecting and analyzing waste data that has not previously been processed in real time. We are contributing to increasing the waste recycling rate by establishing a nationwide integrated system that can systematically manage everything from environmental resource item information to whether or not it has been processed. In particular, it was well received by users because it was possible to easily handle the entire process from reporting to transportation and recycling through a mobile app for waste discharge reports, which were cumbersome to remove.
The subtraction service has achieved a cumulative reduction of 17,000 tons of carbon dioxide since 2019. It has also been shown that 4,500 tons of waste incineration savings and vehicle and labor costs savings of 21 billion won were achieved through pre-and post-waste disposal transactions.
Among waste management platforms, it ranks first in terms of number of subscribers (2.3 million people). The second place is India's Swatch Bharat (2.2 million people), and the third place is Europe's Irish Cyclist (1.5 million people), and Korea has a high number of subscribers compared to its population.
CEO Ko Jae-sung said, “We were able to maintain the current subtraction service due to active cooperation from local governments,” and “we will further increase the recycling rate through data technology and a national integrated management system, and take the lead in creating a resource circulation culture that satisfies both citizens and local governments.”
