KT Opens Applications for 9th Cohort of Able School Digital Talent Program

KT announced Wednesday that it is accepting applications for the 9th cohort of KT Able School, its youth digital talent development program, until February 7.
Able School is a program jointly operated by KT and the government to cultivate corporate-ready digital talent and contribute to national digital competitiveness by connecting trainees with job opportunities at companies seeking artificial intelligence and cloud professionals. Since 2021, a cumulative 3,500 participants have completed the program.
The 9th cohort will be selected through two tracks: AI Developer and Digital Transformation (DX) Consultant. The AI Developer track focuses on training students with relevant academic backgrounds to become service developers who can enhance corporate business value using AI and cloud technologies. The DX Consultant track, the only one of its kind in the industry, includes proposal strategy development coursework, enabling participants to grow into practitioners who can lead DX initiatives across various corporate domains.
Training for the 9th cohort will begin in late March next year and run for approximately five months. Unemployed individuals aged 34 or younger who have completed at least six semesters at a four-year university are eligible to apply. Able School graduates receive preferential treatment when applying for positions at KT Group companies.
Trainees will receive a total of 840 hours of theoretical and practical training during the program and will participate in real-world corporate projects. Through project-based learning, participants can directly experience the entire process from problem identification to service implementation. Among programs under the K-Digital Training initiative supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Able School provides the most hours of hands-on coaching and mentoring from industry professionals, helping participants learn how to work in actual corporate environments.
"We will continue to expand the development of outstanding practical talent through innovative AX education programs and certifications, and support them in leading AX innovation across various industries," a KT official said.
