Humanscape Raises 5 Billion Won in Bridge Round, Naver Joins as New Investor

Humanscape, a digital healthcare company, announced Wednesday that it has raised 5 billion won ($3.7 million) in a post-Series C bridge round ahead of its planned IPO.
Naver (035420.KS) joined as a new investor in this round. Existing investors including the Singapore subsidiary of Korea Investment Partners and Daewoong Investment, an affiliate of Daewoong Pharmaceutical, also participated in the follow-on investment. This marks the third investment by Korea Investment Partners in Humanscape.
With the new funding, Humanscape plans to focus on expanding into global markets centered on the United States, conducting research and development of artificial intelligence healthcare solutions based on patient and platform data, and enhancing existing services using AI technology.
The latest round brings Humanscape's total cumulative funding to 80 billion won. The company currently operates two main services: MommyTalk, a pregnancy and parenting platform, and RareNote, a patient data-based platform. MommyTalk is a leading domestic app that partners with obstetrics and gynecology hospitals to provide ultrasound images, AI-based fetal growth analysis, and stage-specific pregnancy and parenting information. RareNote offers customized information to rare disease patients, including medical record management, treatment cost calculation, and medication management. Disease data accumulated through the platform is expected to be utilized for global clinical research and drug development in the future.
"As we have established ourselves as a dominant vertical platform in the domestic pregnancy, parenting, and intractable disease sectors with monetization progressing, we will not be complacent with our domestic achievements and will grow into an influential healthcare company in the global market as well," CEO Jang Min-hu said.
Humanscape signed an IPO lead underwriting agreement with KB Securities in September and is currently proceeding with preparations for listing on KOSDAQ.
