Kakao Impact Unveils 7 Social Innovation Technologies Developed by IT Experts

Kakao Impact, the corporate foundation of Kakao (035720.KS), unveiled seven social innovation technologies developed through collaboration between IT professionals and social innovators.

Kakao Impact announced Wednesday that it presented key achievements from the second cohort of its Tech for Impact Lab at "ModuCon 2025," hosted by MoAI Lab at Ewha Womans University in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on January 13. Tech for Impact Lab is a project where social innovators and IT experts work together to develop technologies that address social issues. The technologies announced are the results of the second cohort, which launched in July with 109 IT professionals participating.

At the event, Kakao Impact unveiled seven solutions: "Peach Seoga AI," an automatic text simplification AI service for slow learners; "Local Universe," an AR game connecting Ganghwa Island's relational population; "Terrace Spot," a job support platform for youth aging out of care; "OnSori," an AI tool for cochlear implant rehabilitation training; "Youth Eat," a community platform for out-of-school youth development; "Bag to the Future," an educational game about packing disaster survival bags; and an AI system analyzing indoor accessibility for people with mobility challenges.

Kakao Impact assessed that all seven solutions have reached a level of completion ready for field application, with five achieving technology readiness for external deployment.

Kakao Impact plans to significantly strengthen follow-up support to help commercialize the developed technologies. "Following the first cohort, we will work to ensure that the technologies developed in the second cohort are not just one-time projects but continue to be utilized and deliver impact across society," said Ryu Seok-young, chairperson of Kakao Impact.
