Actor Jung Woo-sung Returns After Paternity Scandal, Declines to Discuss Personal Life

Actor Jung Woo-sung has returned to the screen with Disney+ original series "Made in Korea," one year after acknowledging he fathered a child out of wedlock. When asked about his family situation by reporters, he said, "I ask for your understanding that I cannot speak in detail about my personal matters."

A press conference for the Disney+ original series "Made in Korea" was held on the 15th at the Grand Ballroom on the 5th floor of the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Actors Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, Woo Do-hwan, Seo Eun-su, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, Kang Gil-woo, Noh Jae-won, Park Yong-woo, and director Woo Min-ho attended the event.

Jung Woo-sung described his character as "a stubborn man. He is someone with unwavering determination to complete his mission within his own professional principles." When asked whether changes in his family situation caused any difficulties during filming, he carefully responded, "I understand what you're asking, but since this is an occasion where many actors from 'Made in Korea' have gathered together, I ask for your understanding that I cannot speak at length about personal changes." Jung Sung-il, who received the same question, also answered, "I just gave my best to this project, and there were no issues."

"Made in Korea" is a six-part series set in 1970s South Korea, a time of both chaos and rapid growth. The story follows Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), a man who treats the nation as his business model in his quest to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), who relentlessly pursues him to the edge with fierce determination, as they confront major events that define the era. The first two episodes will be released on the 24th.
