Lotte Donates 7 Billion Won to Charity, Bringing 27-Year Total to 125.8 Billion Won

Lotte Group said Thursday it has donated 7 billion won ($5.1 million) to the Community Chest of Korea's "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign."
The donation will be used to support welfare blind spots, including stabilizing the livelihoods of low-income households, providing education and training across all age groups, and helping socially vulnerable groups achieve economic independence, Lotte said.
Lotte has donated a cumulative 125.8 billion won over 27 years since 1999. In 2022, the conglomerate joined the "Hope Sharing Campaign 100 Billion Won Club."
Beyond donations, Lotte continues group-wide social contribution activities focused on children and young adults. Its flagship corporate social responsibility brand "Mom-Pyunhan" has operated the "Dream Attic" and playground projects since 2017 to improve children's play environments and address childcare issues.
The "Mom-Pyunhan Dream Attic" program, which renovates local children's centers, opened its 100th location this year after adding seven new sites. To mark the milestone, Lotte will host a concert for children using these centers at Lotte Concert Hall in January.
The "Mom-Pyunhan Playground" project creates public indoor playgrounds in partnership with local governments, utilizing Lotte World character intellectual property to build child-friendly spaces.
The "Youth Library" program, which creates self-development spaces for military service members, has been running since 2016. Six new locations opened this year, with "Book Concert" events featuring author lectures and music performances held in conjunction.
"As the year comes to a close, we want to extend a warm hand to neighbors in need," said Lim Sung-bok, Head of Communications at Lotte Holdings. "Lotte will continue to fulfill its social responsibility by leveraging our capabilities and resources to help those who need support."
