Jeonnam Education Office Offers Intensive College Admission Counseling

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education's Career and College Counseling Center announced Wednesday that it will operate an "intensive regular admission counseling period" from January 22 to 30 to prepare for the 2026 academic year college regular admissions.

The intensive counseling period was established to provide practical assistance to examinees in developing personalized admission strategies and deciding on universities to apply to, as the regular admission application period for the 2026 academic year begins in earnest.

Counseling sessions can be reserved through the Career and College Support Portal and will be conducted as in-person consultations at centers in Suncheon, Mokpo, Yeosu, Naju and Gwangyang. Key topics include regular admission application strategies, characteristics of each university's admission process, and recommendations for universities based on grade analysis tailored to each examinee's individual circumstances.

"Since regular admissions vary significantly in how universities calculate and reflect scores, personalized strategies are crucial," said Jeon Seong-a, director of career education at the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education. "We are offering evening and Saturday consultations, so we hope more students will work with experts to design their admission strategies."

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education's Career and College Counseling Center operates year-round career and college counseling services and continues to implement various support programs including early and regular admission preparation programs, mock interviews, and parent career and college academies.
