Hansung University Professor Park Jae-hong Wins Grand Prize at Korean Ballet Association Awards

Hansung University announced Wednesday that Professor Park Jae-hong of the Faculty of Arts (Ballet Major) received the grand prize at the 30th Korean Ballet Association Awards ceremony held at The Riverside Hotel's Mont Blanc Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on January 1.

Established in 1996, the Korean Ballet Association Awards recognize artists who have contributed to the development of ballet in Korea. The awards discover outstanding ballet talent and contributors annually through various categories including the grand prize, Prima Ballerina Award, Danseur Noble Award, and Best Work Award.

Professor Park was recognized for his contributions to building the foundation for Korean ballet's growth across diverse areas including education, policy, international competition operations, and academic research over many years in the ballet and dance field. He has contributed to the development of the ballet and dance sector across education, creation, academia, and international exchange, having served as honorary chairman of the Korean Ballet Association, senior vice chairman of the Korean Dance Association, president of the Korean Society of Dance Science, and chairman of the Korea International Ballet Competition.

"The development of ballet art is thanks to the long dedication of many people, and this award is also the result of the support of those who have worked together," Professor Park said. "I will continue to do my best for the cultivation of future ballet talent and the internationalization of ballet based on education and research."
