BBQ Chicken Establishes European Headquarters in Spain

Genesis BBQ Group, South Korea's largest fried chicken franchise, announced Wednesday it will establish a joint venture "European Headquarters" in Spain with global company BLT F&B Group.
Through this headquarters, BBQ plans to build an integrated European logistics network including production facilities for raw materials and distribution warehouses to expand its presence in the European market. BBQ recently held a ceremony at its Songpa-gu headquarters in Seoul to mark the establishment.
BLT F&B Group operates businesses in finance and food service across Spanish-speaking regions including Spain and Latin America, and runs Domino's Pizza, Applebee's, and IHOP franchises in the Americas.
BBQ plans to accelerate its European expansion leveraging BLT F&B Group's global operational experience and market expertise. The company expects the headquarters to serve as a crucial foundation for advancing its global supply chain management, significantly speeding up master franchise agreements and product localization efforts.
BBQ also plans to open flagship stores in major European countries including Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, and the Netherlands, with gradual expansion to neighboring countries.
"Europe is a strategic gateway to completing the globalization of K-food and a focal point for BBQ's global expansion," said Yoon Hong-geun, Chairman of Genesis BBQ Group. "Based on locally customized menus and an advanced integrated logistics network, we will spread the premium value of K-chicken throughout Europe."
