Ceragem Executive Receives Prime Minister's Citation on Trade Day for Export Growth

Kim Sang-sik, Global President of Ceragem, received a Prime Minister's Citation at the 62nd Trade Day ceremony held at COEX in Samseong-dong on December 4 in recognition of his contributions to expanding global exports, the company said Thursday.

The Trade Day ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and hosted by the Korea International Trade Association, is an annual national event held to honor and encourage contributors to Korea's export industry. Government awards are presented to companies and individuals who have contributed to export expansion and overseas market development.

Ceragem began exporting to the United States in 1999 after obtaining FDA certification for its spinal care medical device "M3000," and has since actively developed overseas markets by expanding into China, India, Europe and other regions. The company currently operates approximately 2,500 experience stores across more than 70 countries worldwide.

Kim attended this year's ceremony to receive the Prime Minister's Citation on behalf of Ceragem. The award recognized his achievements in overseeing global operations and establishing localization foundations, leading market dominance through distribution network expansion, and contributing to social responsibility and local communities.

In particular, Kim led the restructuring of distribution networks for the company's Chinese subsidiary, stabilizing the market structure and improving operational efficiency through the establishment of a digital management system. His efforts to strengthen research and development capabilities enhanced the company's competitiveness in medical device technology, and he drove revenue growth in global operations through profitability-focused structural innovation.

Kim has also been active in corporate social responsibility initiatives, broadly promoting activities that enhance Korea's national image, including expanding youth employment, cooperating in public diplomacy, and implementing social contribution projects.
