Massage Association Audit Office Receives 'Transparent Society Award' by Transparency Organization

The Korean Massage Association (pictured) reported on the 3rd that the Audit Office of the Korean Massage Association won the Transparent Society Award ahead of UN World Anti-Corruption Day on the 9th of this month.

The Transparency Society Award is awarded by the Korea Transparency Organization, the Korean headquarters of the International Transparency Organization headquartered in Berlin, Germany. It is awarded to individuals, public institutions, civil society organizations, companies, public officials, public service informants, and media who have worked for a transparent society. It began with the 2001 Anti-Corruption Award and the Cheongbaek Ri Award, and celebrated its 25th edition this year.

The winners of this year's Transparent Society Award were selected based on criteria such as the validity and social empathy of the content of the action, the persistence of anti-corruption efforts, the influence and effects of anti-corruption practices, and the hardships and overcoming associated with anti-corruption practices. The Korean Massage Association Audit Office received this award for the first time since the organization was founded.

In order to create a healthy horse racing culture and spread a culture of anti-corruption integrity, the Korea Massage Association Audit Office conducted special integrity training for organization members, implemented a “We will only accept your heart” campaign for horse racing customers, and obtained excellent ratings in the last 2 years in the integrity evaluation organized by the National Rights and Interest Committee.

“Receiving the Transparent Society Award is the result of steady efforts by all employees to create a fair and transparent organization, and the fruit of our efforts to establish a clean public institution that is trusted by the people,” said Yoon Byung-hyeon, a member of the Standing Audit Committee of the Korean Massage Association. “We will continue to make further efforts to establish a culture of anti-corruption integrity deeply rooted within the organization through continuous innovation in ethical management.”
