Snowflake, a global artificial intelligence (AI) data cloud company, will host its annual conference "Snowflake World Tour Seoul" in Seoul.
Snowflake announced on the 6th that it will hold Snowflake World Tour Seoul at the COEX Conference Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul, on the 27th. The Snowflake World Tour is a global data conference held in 23 cities worldwide, marking its fifth edition in Korea this year.
This year's event carries the theme "Making AI Real for Business." It will highlight ways to connect AI to real business outcomes based on trusted data and platforms. Leading domestic manufacturing, retail, financial, gaming, and technology companies will present how they have generated AI business results using data and platforms across more than 30 sessions and four tracks.
In the keynote, Baris Gultekin, Snowflake's Vice President of Product Management, and Lee Su-hyun, a tech evangelist, will take the stage. This will be followed by presentations of real-world application cases from Lee Kyung-jong, Managing Director at KB Kookmin Bank and KB Financial Group (Head of the Financial AI 2 Center), and Kang Min-seung, CEO of Tnaps. Tnaps is an AI security startup that became the first in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region to enter the top 10 in the Snowflake Startup Challenge.
In the individual tracks, companies including Neowiz, NEPES, Dining Brands Group, Banksalad, Spigen Korea, Amorepacific, NSUSLAB, Wemade Play, GS Engineering & Construction, KT, Toss Place, Pulmuone, and Featuring will present their success stories. In addition, booths will be operated where attendees can directly experience the latest AI technologies and interact with industry experts and technology partners. A "Startup Village" involving eight startups and a "Community Village," where user groups of platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft will interact, will also be operated.
"A company's AI competitiveness is determined by applying AI to actual work based on data to create measurable results," said Lim Jin-sik, Head of Solution Engineering at Snowflake Korea. "We hope this event will serve as an opportunity for domestic companies to find concrete directions to achieve tangible business results with AI and data."
